Woodland Animal Christmas Cards (Vintage Watercolor Printables)

Woodland animals are the quiet stars of Christmas cards. A fox in the snow or an owl in a pine tree feels cozy and timeless, and it works for almost anyone: kids, coworkers, nature lovers and people who don't want anything too religious or too jokey. Every card here is a vintage-style watercolor that you can download and print at home.

Which woodland animal for whom?

• Fox: clever, a little cheeky. Perfect for friends and siblings ("Have a Fox-tastic Christmas").
• Owl: wise and a bit sentimental. "Owl Be Home for Christmas" suits family far away.
• Bear: warm and huggable. Great for grandparents and kids.
• Moose: big and goofy, for the friend who loves a groan-worthy pun.
• Hedgehogs: small and sweet, made for best friends.
• Cardinals and robins: classic winter birds. Cardinals are often sent in remembrance of a loved one; robins feel romantic.

Why vintage watercolor?

Soft watercolor textures and muted reds and greens look like the cards in an old family album, so they print beautifully on matte cardstock and look more expensive than they are. They also sit well on a mantel next to almost any decor.
