Printable Hanukkah and New Year Cards

December isn't only about Christmas. If you're sending greetings to friends who celebrate Hanukkah, or you prefer a card that works for everyone on your list, a Hanukkah or New Year card is a thoughtful choice.

Hanukkah card etiquette

• Timing. Hanukkah's dates move each year with the Hebrew calendar. In 2026 it begins at sundown on Friday, December 4, so aim to send cards in late November or early December.
• Greetings. "Happy Hanukkah" and "Chag Sameach" are both warm, safe choices. "Wishing you light and love" captures the spirit of the festival of lights.
• Keep it separate. Avoid mixing Christmas imagery into a Hanukkah card.

Why New Year cards are underrated

A New Year card sidesteps every "which holiday?" question, arrives when mailboxes are quieter, and gives you an extra week if you missed the Christmas rush. It's also a natural fit for clients, neighbors and colleagues.
